Day 1 ~ February 1, 2012

Hello World,

This is my first real attempt at blogging. I don’t know how it will go. I don’t know if anyone will be interested in what I am writing and I don’t know if I am committed enough to stick to it…but here goes anyways.

I have been on a weight loss journey for a good portion of my adult life. A yo-yo dieter some would say. Now, in my upper 40’s, I realize its really time a get a grip on a healthier lifestyle and a better me.

Last year, 2011, I lost 30 pounds using Weight Watchers and I am happy to say that I started 2012 with only regaining 3 of the lost pounds. I guess they wanted to come back home! Anyways, I re-started WW in January 2012 with no real success (not because of WW but because of me). So I only lost 2 pounds in Jauary and was a bit discouraged.

I decided on February 1, 2012 that I would try counting calories, make a conscience effort to eat healthier and to exercise regualary. Doesn’t sound too hard but it really is. I am a food junkie…love good food…love to cook…and love to eat things that make my toes wiggle!!!! Somebody out there knows exactly what I’m talking about.  Unfortuantely, most things that taste good are not good for you and a I hate exercising…so this will be a challenge but I am committed to making it work.

It’s February 4, now so I behind in writing and doing a little back tracking. If you keep reading, the Day 4 ~ Febraury 4, 2012 will be ‘real-time’, kind of.
